Discover the amenities that make Portland Victoria Bowling Club a welcoming place for bowlers and visitors alike. We pride ourselves on providing a comfortable and functional environment for our members and guests.
Clubhouse Amenities
Our compact club house offers essential facilities for your comfort, including a convenient kitchen area where you can enjoy tea and coffee. Please note, we do not have a licenced bar. Toilet facilities are available for your convenience. For your safety, a club defibrillator is on-site. Most importantly, our friendly members create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Parking and Access
While on-street parking is available directly outside the Gardens, we recommend utilising the Masonic Hall car park for additional space. Please be aware that this car park is approximately a 10-minute walk from the club green.
There is a path to access the main door of the club house. The lower path also has access to the main door, this is by means of a number of steep stone steps.
Playing Seasons and Times
Our facilities are active throughout the week with various scheduled play sessions and competitions:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: League Match days (typically evenings).
- Tuesday and Thursday: 'Roll-up' Evenings for casual play.
- Club Competitions: Various days as scheduled by club members for internal matches.
- Thursday Morning: Pairs Competition.
- Sunday Morning: Australian Pairs Competition.
- Saturday or Sunday: Friendly matches with visiting teams from afar.
We aim to provide ample opportunities for competitive and social lawn bowls throughout the season.
